Wilker Mata

I am a photographer born in Caracas, Venezuela, currently based in Chicago, United States.

From a young age, I began experimenting with image editing in a self-taught way. At the end of 2013, I took a trip to Lima, Peru, to visit the Magic Water Circuit. This place captivated me visually so much that I felt the need to share my way of seeing the world.

In 2015, I bought my first camera and started studying photography, where I learned the basic use of my equipment and composition concepts.

My first photos were urban exploration shots; I often visited abandoned places, living extreme experiences and putting my life at risk.

Today, my style focuses primarily on creative portrait photography, producing impactful images while capturing behind-the-scenes footage of my sessions to share on social media. This approach has allowed me to build a community of over 600,000 followers and collaborate with leading brands such as Nanlite, Zhiyun, Reblum, Zyro and K&F Concept, contributing my vision to advertising campaigns, product launches, and digital content creation.
